Fascinated by the French Absurdist playwrights, I created this sculpture while finishing my degree at Montana State University in Bozeman. I wanted to express the despair and resignation of the characters in the play, who wait futilely for Godot, the third character in the play, who the audience never meets but represents the god absent in an absurd, meaningless existence. It's a dark play relieved by a brilliant humor. I often draw ideas from literature, myths and paradoxes.
